The Jig is Up -- MyBlogLog joins Yahoo!
Todd, John, Steve, Scott and I are pleased to announce that Yahoo! has brought MyBlogLog into the fold. I've been drafting a post about this for the better part of a week and it's just not happening. No matter how hard I try, there's just too much here that I can't yet put into words. But we wanted to post this as soon as we could and give you the heads up, just as always. I promise to provide more details as things calm down, but for now, here's the Cliffs Notes version:
MyBlogLog is becoming a part of Yahoo! We're all moving to San Francisco. We officially bleed Purple and Yellow (although unofficially, I'll always bleed Orange and Blue - Go Gators! National champions in basketball AND football, yo!).
Yahoo! is going to put loads of resources into MyBlogLog and help us roll out a ton of new features. Plus, we're moving to their infrastructure, which should help with those occasional slowdowns.
We are not going to become one of those corporate casualties that never make another step forward. We are hard at work on the custom communities and soon everyone will be able to skin their community to look like their own blog or site.
We owe so much of this to you, for becoming passionate about MyBlogLog and posting about us, building widgets on top of our service and just taking time out of your busy life to connect with other people on your favorite sites and blogs.
Special thanks go out (what is this, the freakin' Oscars) to a couple of key people: Josh Kopelman for originally asking why the heck social networks were stuck on a single site, Fred Wilson and Brad Feld for becoming true believers and Andy Baio for inspiring me to create a link blog about this time two years ago, without which I never would have asked Todd to figure out how to track my links.

This is an intelligent move. MyBlogLog is an innovative and well designed technology.
Hopefully, more detailed stats can be added - it has enourmous potential!!!!!

Congratulations guys! Never knew you were based in Florida, and now you're leaving for the West Coast. I'm also a proud member of the service. Keep up the great work. Also, are any of you attending the WeMedia Conference in Miami on Feb 7-9?

Weird coincidence that you left a comment on our blog post Scott, published today, about how MyBlogLog had helped us.
We are not surprised and very happy for all of you!

Congratulations, Eric, Scott and team! I'm thrilled for you, as well as what this signals for micro-deals going forward (though it might not be so "micro" to you ;-).

Big Congrats you all! I'm still awaiting the custom community you promised. Hope that wouldn't remain a promise forever ;-) Enjoy the success.

Woo, hoo! I mean YAHOO! I just discovered your tool within the last month. A MyBlogLog posse was in the sidebar of one of my blog's contributor's personal blog. I often adopt tools that other bloggers whom I admire are using.
It I don't understand what & why & how within the first 5-10 minutes on the page, I don't adopt. Yours went up same day and I visit it often. I like seeing the little pictures in the sidebar and it really serves to spark curiosity and create a win-win in terms of building bringes to new readers and discovering other blogs of interest to you, based on who is reading you and what other things they read, etc. (Sorry, preaching to the choir now!)
Most surprising was that I bumped into a couple of people I already knew in within the community.
The "little Puple Man" is standing up and clapping!
