MyBlogLog hiring two engineers
Have you got the web skills that pay the bills? MyBlogLog is adding two engineers to the team and we'd love to recruit them directly from our membership -- after all, it worked with Robyn ;) If you are a kick-ass LAMP developer or Ops engineer, then we want to hear from you.
A couple of ground rules:
- You must be eligible to work in the United States
- You are either close to Berkeley, CA or willing to relocate immediately
- You must like gobs of money -- Yahoo! pays really well
There are two openings, so make sure to read both. If you fit either of these positions and meet the ground rules above, please send an email to eric@mybloglog.com along with a resume and a list of sites on which you've worked.

"You must be a US citizen"
Ouch.. that rules me out starting with the first requirement!

Oh man! The first requirement is a killer! Not from the USA.. wish can apply =P

I guess I can not satisfy this requirement

I agree! The US citizen bit hurts.
Then again, so does the 4+ years experience in PHP and 5+ years experience in javascript!

That rules most people off the face of the earth right off the bat :)

Putting 'being a US citizen' first probably rules out a lot of people, so that's why they put it at the beginning :)
Still. It sucks :(

Why would I wish to do this?
You must like gobs of money -- Yahoo! pays really well...
Q...

I am not a developer, but I am wicked good, dammit.

I am living in Hungary and my first probleme knowledge of english language. I learned this in 2001 years during 10 month...that's not enough for nothing!

Why do you need to go to USA when it takes less time to be online on a server in the USA as to going from downtown to the working area ?
Don't they have DSL in the USA ? lol
Greetings from Belgium

Oh I can do it... Well the fact that I am a developer and know PHP and MySQL, but, I don't have 5-7 years of experience as I am only 15, and I live on the eastern border of USA :( .

I just wanted to clarify for all you guys that the first requirement doesn't say "you must be a US citizen", it says "you must be eligible to work in the US". Last time I looked that is MUCH different!
How about a Program/Project Manager position that pays GOBS of $$$??
Posted by: Heaven | May 12, 2007 at 04:40 PM
Ahh not a US Citizen! Good luck to the person that does get it!
Posted by: Ashley | May 15, 2007 at 02:03 PM
I think the US citizen bit has been changed to "You must be eligible to work in the United States"
I don't see why any leading edge company would want to exclude top talent.
