Your Community Messaging Is A-Changin'
In all things, we at MyBlogLog strive for complete community moderation. While that's not always possible, we get really excited when we are able to roll out a feature that puts the power completely in your hands.
While spam is something that every site will have to bear, we think we've found a way to not only allow you to moderate your comments, but to take the conversation back to your own blog, right where every site owner wants it to take place.
Introducing MyBlogLog's revamped Community Pages (coming very, very soon to a MyBlogLog page near you):
And, my favorite part, check out what happens when you click the RSS subscribe feed:
I love it! And, when we saw the suggestion board today, we started to wonder if Stephen (MyBlogLog profile) had been spying on us.
Several members of our team sent me that link today! It made us all giggle. Well, the guys laughed in a manly sort of way and I giggled. ;)
Anyway, our hope is that you end up with more conversation, more RSS subscriptions and Mo Money, Mo Money, Mo Money (just kidding of course). Now YOU decide what is and is not spam. All of the conversation will be completely in your control, on your own blog.
Sure, you can still leave people messages on their profile page, and there will still be a spam reporting feature there, but for the most part, we hope that all that talkin' takes place on your home turf.
Note, since the old messages meant so much to many of you, we've decided to leave them up for a week or so, to give you time to archive them on your own site, if you wish. You can find a link to your old messages at the bottom of your community page. However, soon they will be removed permanently, so save them if you want them.
We hope you like this new format. It really was designed with you and your needs in mind. Thanks for being a part of our family!

An awesome addition that will surely remove comments spam since it is no longer on the main page in visible position :) And love the blog feed subscription!

The changes are really great and more towards what I hoped to see. Having message limits on profiles and no limits on community pages made no sense anyway.
I really like the RSS feed feature where it shows the recent posts of a blog without actually visiting the blog. That gives us an idea whether what we are about to click is a spam blog or not.
Thanks for making MBL a better place and we are looking forward to more great features in the future!

I'm definitely looking forward to the RSS feed. I still want the writers to know that I am reading their blog, so am glad it only displays a short summary.

Yup, this RSS feature is a MUST for MBL users. A lot of bloggers are aggressively asking readers to subscribe to their feed because Paid Review sites are starting to use # of feed subscribers as one of the main criteria to rank/accept them. Thank you.

"Mo Money" I am not kidding :) This is one of the better ideas for members that belong to several other communities. I am glad I signed up. There are several members here that are Friends of mines from other communities. I am off to visit your profiles!

Congratulations! to the MyBlogLog professional team - Eric, Duzins, and Toddsampson. Thank you for bringing in this new feature so that I can truly enjoy the excitement of an e-community at MyBlogLog. Do you remember at school, a teacher is wise to always start a class on time, thus respecting the early comers, at the same moment encouraging the late comers to next be early. Similarly, with this new feature at MyBlogLog, the ones who are truly building an e-community here, are respected, while what can be popularly known as spamming are being encouraged to paradigm shift onto a higher level of truly the art of blogging and allowing them a taste of really building an e-Community. This decision I praise the Lord did not impose a rule that might stop spammers completely yet also stop nice individuals from building an e-community. See? So, soon as your share the wisdom in this decision of yours, more shall join rank to be wise too. In light of this new feature, let's enjoy this delight until all of us shall experience enlightenment as bloggers, with blogs, blogging within this bloggosphere. Wow! Wonders of Wisdom.

I'd be the first to admit I've not been around MyBlogLog as much as I'd meant to (that'll change), so forgive my ignorance, but if this feature has already been implemented, I can't see where there is a moderation option?
Personally I am happy to have an area for public messages left for community members on the community page, i.e. in my case http://www.mybloglog.com/buzz/community/consumingexperience/ (which to me is the more logical places for it as opposed to the messages on the "profile" page at http://www.mybloglog.com/buzz/members/Improbulus/) - as long as (1) I can opt to receive an email when someone adds a comment, and (2) I can then moderate for spam if I so choose.
One of the things I like about Facebook is the Wall, and subject to moderation (and perhaps limiting how many comments one person is allowed to add a day), I would like to have a wall for my community, personally, for general comments and discussion as opposed to comments specific to a particular post. But maybe that's just me, judging by the chorus of cheers for getting rid of it!
