Buttons, Sweet Buttons

I hope you all have been having as much fun as we have checking out all the cool sites that are featured on the top 100 list for the contest.

We marveled at what we thought was an unstoppable early lead by Buen Amigo only to be overtaken most recently by Survival of the Feedest with a recent surge. Standings are updated every 15 minutes so be sure to come back on a regular basis and click on any new links and join those that you like. There's lots of great stuff in there! Root for the underdogs too!

As the contest heads into it's final week, some of you have asked about buttons that will make it easy for your readers to click through to your profile and join your community. I want to give a shout out to Nate Whitehill for his inspired designs which got us thinking. Today, we've added a badge configuration page to your Communities profile where you can select from a number of badges to suit your fancy. You'll find our badges on your Community profile page behind the Buttons link. Manny went a little crazy and built a bunch of buttons. Let us know which ones you like best or, better yet, if you want to make your own - tell us about it!

What about a "Join OUR community" button?

Thanks for the Button!

Hi Guys! Thanks for the plug. Feedest is in hyperdrive, watch out.
The new button is on the home page and will definitely help thecause.

Thank you MyBlogLoggers!

Hey thanks for the buttons. But I don't think are stylish enough to prompt people to join your community. I have made a few badges and buttons myself, you may add them to the existing list. See them here - http://www.dailyseoblog.com/2007/11/free-web-20-mybloglog-buttonsbadges-to-grow-your-community/

Hi Mani,

Your buttons are awesome! Anyone looking for some more designs, check out Mani's array of images.

It's fun blogging!

Is there a benefit to using a button as opposed to just using the Recent Reader widget?

Gameguy - there's no difference in the links on the button or the link at the bottom of the Recent Reader widget. The button is a more clear "call to action" for those that are actively trying to grow their communities.

Thanks to the contest i've found so many awesome blogs that I don't know how I did without beforehand. There really is a wealth of information in so many blogs on here!

thanks for suggestion about the button

I'm looking for some nice shiny web 2.0 buttons for sites like facebook, LinkedIn etc. but not having any luck - can anyone help ( tried stock image libraries too)
