Cleaner, Crisper Userpics
We've updated the compression scheme that Yahoo used when you upload your photos to MyBlogLog for your profile so that it looks *much* better. If you're not happy with your userpic, I encourage you to head on over and re-upload your photo.
- Login to MyBlogLog.com (if you haven't already merged your account with a YahooID, this will be your chance to get that out of the way)
- Click Edit Profile
- Click Change Image
- Upload your new image, crop, and save
Sweetness!

Oh! very good!

Harleyblues,
I've sent you an email with the Yahoo ID that you should be using to login to your account.

Hello,
Is there something wrong with the My Top Links script? Mine stopped working on Friday.
Thanks!

Sorry to bother you here, but I cant figure out where else to cry for help.
The whole (unannounced!) merger with yahoo-account thing has been a bloody mess for me so far. After endless back and forth with the helpdesk we finally managed to get our account back up and running - but with a small problem. It's all tied to my personal Yahoo account, in stead of the generic MBL account I had created before.
The issue is, we are 8 ppl in this company, all of whom need to look at the MBL stats on a daily basis. But I will *NOT* give out my Yahoo ID to 7 other people, as this ties together all my personal and business email accounts.
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only professional user with this problem. Any ideas?
And please dont point me to the Yahoo forum, as I've been waiting for approval to join for two weeks now. Fuhgeddaboudit.
*one early businessuser who is now pretty darn well p....d off...*

this is great news. Hopefully, this is the start of a new trend. Does this also mean I'll have to make a retraction from my article? http://www.jeffro2pt0.com/why-are-web-20-sites-compressing-avatars/

Hi Robyn, thanks very much for your mercy heart

Stephan,
I've unmerged your account from your YahooID so you can go ahead and re-merge it again using another YahooID that you can all share. Another, more preferable option would be for each of you to create your own MyBlogLog accounts and tie them all to individual YahooIDs. You could then add each person as a co-author to your site so that each person can see stats using their own login.
Hope that helps!

Jeffro, thanks for noticing and setting us straight!

Hi Mona,
Top 5 seems to be working fine on our end. . .

Hi guys, I just merged my account with Yahoo and all seemed ok. When I tried to upload some additional pics (other than profile one) they would not load, correct type file and size. Any ideas?

The merge with Yahoo account went very wrong. My nickname changed, my pic is not showing anymore, I can´t change name or picture, I don't know what I can do more. Any help? Thanks in advance.

Could Yahoo make it easier to delete your account from mybloglog? Clicking a button on the site would be a lot easier than emailing a few times and waiting. I'm fed up with all the splogs here and I want out. I prefer my friends to be people I at least like, not every slogger on the planet.

My userpic was suddenly gone so now I understand why. I will re-upload the old one...

Is it me or there is a bug when adding a new Image?
I don't want to crop my 64x64 image! I even tried to make it smaller but it always ask to crop it.
I'll probably have to create a 300x200 image with my small face on it so I can just crop it. :(

We connect with other blogs through mybloglog. Do you recommend using this resource or is their a better one out there?

@Caoimhin - I'm not seeing any problems with our image upload. Does anyone else?
@Bubblejet - I sent you a couple email messages with suggestions. The reason pop-up windows for the nickname and userpic changers are blank may have to do with your firewall. Any luck?
@maurizio - you can drag any corner of the crop window to resize the selection to whatever size you wish.
@Martin - we tend to prefer MyBlogLog but then again, we're biased ;-)

Ian,
Just logged in and merged my MBL account with my yahoo account and I'm having a problem uploading my user pic as well. It tells me that I have a page error at the bottom right hand side of the broswer window. (IE7)

Mark, try playing around with the security settings on IE7.

I'm having the same problem with uploading a picture. Tried it a few weeks back when I first joined, and have just tried again.
It lets me choose a photo, upload it, and the error seems to happen after I choose "crop". Both on Firefox 2 and IE7.
Firebug on FF tells me that "imgEl has no properties" on carousel.min.1.13.js line 34 if that's any help.

Hi Andrian,
Thanks for this extra info. I'll pass this on to the engineers.
