MyBlogLog Problogger Contest
A few weeks ago we sat in our office and brainstormed on ways we could give our members a hand in their blogging efforts. We knocked all sorts of ideas around, the new blog-themed email signature being one of the ones that we chose, but our favorite idea was holding a contest that would 1-benefit everyone who participated and 2-give out a barrel-full of problogger-themed goodness.
::Robyn climbs up on her soapbox:: So, without further ado, I give you THE MYBLOGLOG PROBLOGGER CONTEST!
The rules are pretty simple. The community that grows the most, in their gross total, from now to November 30, 2007, will win. You can see the full list of legalese here. The winner will be announced live from the floor of PubCon in Las Vegas by me and Ian. We'll also sprinkle them liberally all over the site.
::Robyn begins Oscar acceptance speech:: I'd like to thank the sponsors, who without their freebies (yes, they all donated these), we could not offer you such cool prizes. Our sponsors:
SEOMoz
Yahoo! Search Marketing
Designs By RS
Yaro Starak
SOBCon 2008
Now, get over to the contest and register your blog. You can keep up to date with who is in the lead here at the leaderboard, and you can see your own place, if you are not in the top 100, within the Edit Profile section of your Profile on MyBlogLog. Good luck! We're rooting for you.

It is sad that only those who live in the U.S. can register for this contest.

My dear Miss Tippins,
The official guide clearly stated Open to U.S. residents, 16 and older. I was wondering, how about us non U.S. residents?
BTW, love your acceptance speech...
Greetings and lotta loves from Malaysia.

Is there a contest for the worst blog? I could win it.... :-)
Posted by: Guido | November 09, 2007 at 01:32 AM
The eligibility zone should have been wider:(
Please do not give us an impression that you care for US based bloggers only.

Why is the contest only open to US residents? What about people in other countries, will we be getting a contest too?
Posted by: Kate | November 09, 2007 at 03:40 AM
small blogs have no hope of winning or ranking in this contest

Would love to enter this but because it is limited to US residents only can't! What if I go to the American embassy everyday and blog from there thats US soil >:¬}
If I one I would have flown over though.

Very cool - I'd love to compete but one blog has 30 new in less than a day? That projects to over 600 this month? Yikes. *back to work on it*

Yaro Stark? Any relation to Yaro Starak?
-------Robyn's Response-------
Egads, I'm a moron. Of course, you are thinking, "Yeah, so tell me something I don't know."
Oh, so embarrassing! Fixing it right now.

Is it just me or do your prizes lack a little bit of pizazz?
How about something that real bloggers can use and not just wannabe SEO bloggers?
Would it have killed Yahoo to shell out for maybe a few digital cameras, web hosting or heck even some cash or gift certificates?
------Robyn's Response-------
For now, we just picked one subset of our members and created a niche contest for them. However, if it works well, perhaps we'll do some more for our other groups. Uh oh, think I said too much. ;)

Is there a way of un-registering? I did not read the part about US participants only.
------Robyn's Response--------
No worries. If you win we'll still fawn all over you, we just can't give you the prizes. I'll still honor the Featured Community part for a month for any Non-US blogs, as well as the Pro MBL account. Cheers!

That's why I hate people put moderation on their comment, I considered myself lucky coz I waited for all the comments to be moderated and published. Looked like I've to change the game plan. My soon to be published post needed a huge alteration or maybe it need a new post totally.
Well, I wish all the best to all US Bloggers. Maybe Miss Robyn Tippins and gang will start a new brain-storming session to come up with a fool-proof plan on what to do with non-US Bloggers?
Greetings and lotta loves from a non-US Recovery Blogger in Malaysia.
------Robyn's Response------
Sorry, yeah moderation is tricky since we really don't work on the weekends, but the blogosphere never sleeps. ;)
Thanks for the love from Malaysia!
